The Zoo

Lane's preschool class has been talking about the zoo this week and had an outing to the zoo today. The thought of going to the zoo with 100 toddlers and their moms was not at all interesting to me. So we waited until this afternoon after nap time and went together as a family. Pat ditched out of work for a few hours (not too hard when he was already working from the kitchen table today!)

We splurged the $1 extra to go to the Sting Ray exhibit. That was pretty cool. They are actually quite friendly and swim right up to the surface so you can pet them. The boys couldn't wait to see "Shere Khan" from Jungle Book. I think Lane was kind of relieved that he was sleeping. Since "he scares everybody."

Favorite saying of the day? Both Lane and Kyle often repeated, "It's so beautiful here!" Silly boys! Maybe we should our membership more often.

Head bands and peaches

So I was blog bouncing and I found step-by step instructions on how to make head bands. Since I have no creativity what so ever (I've always just been an appreciator) I was grateful for the instructions. They were real easy to make. Now hopefully, if she'll keep them on, I won't get congratulated on having 3 boys anymore. If she could only grow some hair...too bad she takes after her mom!

Nora's GI scope went well. Any Eosinophilic Esophagitis she may have had is all cleared up and we were finally given the ok to give her REAL food. We tried applesauce first but she had a reaction so then we tried peaches. That seemed to work and she is very happy and feeling quite grown up. What should we try next? Avacados, maybe.....

We go back to allergist next Thursday to get more testing done. The GI seems to think she is allergic to corn too (as well as soy) Let's hope we don't find anything!

Here we go...

Will I be able to keep up with this? Ever write anything interesting or worthwhile? I'll try. With kids ages 3, 2 and 11 months; maybe this will be my small, desperate touch with some sanity. And with others in the same crazy state!

We're having fun with our crazy family. And even if no one cares to much to read what I have to write...at least I can say that I have made some attempt at journaling.

So here we go!
